This virtual Create Night will be held over Zoom.
Participants will receive a kit in the mail containing the “Handful of Stars” keepsake book and hand printing tools to follow along.
Grab a drink and a friend and learn about the ancient art of palmistry with expert, author and artist Helene Childress! This special-edition Create Night will guide us into the mystical world of palm reading following Childress’ guidance. Learn how to use her bestselling palmistry guidebook and hand printing kit, “Handful of Stars” (as seen in In Style and Refinery29), to determine the destiny you hold in your hands.
Create Nights take place on the third Thursday of every month and are led by a PEM educator or local guest artist.
About the Presenter
Helene Childress
Helene Childress (Saucedo) is a palm reader who previously provided palm readings out of a vintage camper and traveled the country with her craft, lecturing and reading at shops and events including Haus Witch, the McKittrick Hotel, the Bonnaroo music festival, the Peabody Essex Museum and the Bust Magazine Craftacular. She is the author of the palm reading kit Handful of Stars: A Palmistry Handbook and Hand-printing Kit. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, she has a background in design and art direction, with more than 15 years of experience working with brands such as Turner Broadcasting, Cartoon Network Latin America, Steve Madden and Macmillan Publishers. Childress lives in Atlanta with her wife, child, a pit bull pup, two Siamese cats and two parakeets.
