Reframing Heritage: PEM’s Korean Art Collection

Join PEM curators and visiting experts for Reframing Heritage: Conservation and Multidimensional Interpretation of PEM’s Korean Art Collection, an international symposium that will convene scholars, curators, artists, educators and conservation professionals to explore innovative approaches to presenting and conserving Korean art. The program will also examine creative strategies for engaging with the collection in ways that resonate with broad audiences and address a range of cultural, educational and scholarly interests.

피바디에섹스박물관(PEM)은 국제 심포지움 <유산의 재해석: PEM 한국 미술 컬렉션의 보존과 다층적 해석>을 개최합니다. 본 심포지엄은 PEM 소속 큐레이터를 비롯하여 국내외 현장 전문가들을 초대해 한국 미술의 전시와 보존을 새롭게 조명하는 자리입니다. 연구자, 큐레이터, 예술가, 교육자, 보존 전문가들이 한자리에 모여 한국 미술 컬렉션을 다각도로 해석하고, 동시대 관객과 공명할 수 있는 창의적인 접근 방식을 모색합니다. 또한 문화적·교육적·학술적 관심사를 아우르는 폭넓은 논의를 통해 컬렉션의 새로운 가능성을 탐구합니다.
