      In many areas of India and Nepal and for the South Asian diaspora community around the world, March 4 marks Holi, the Hindu festival of colors celebrating the start of spring. Join us on Sundays in March to enjoy a variety of festive music on the tabla and sitar. 

      About our collaborators

      Vedant Archis Lele
      Vedant Archis Lele

      Vedant Archis Lele is a dedicated tabla artist with over 15 years of experience as a performer and educator.  He is a current faculty member of the New England School of Music (NESOM) as a tabla instructor. Trained under eminent gurus, including his father and mentor Shri Archis Lele, the late Shri Shripad Jaail and currently Shri Praveen Karkare, he brings a strong lineage-based approach to his artistry. He has performed at prestigious platforms such as the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Sahitya Sammelans, government cultural events and major stage productions, including appearances on Colours Marathi and the Netflix series Heeramandi. He has accompanied several renowned vocalists and composers across classical and semi-classical genres and continues to actively perform, teach and collaborate within India’s evolving music landscape.

      Mike Jarjoura
      Mike Jarjoura

      Mike Jarjoura has studied and performed classical Hindustani music on sitar since 2003. He has mainly learned in the Vishnupur Gharana from sitar players Peter Row and Vidushu Mita Nag. Jarjoura has also studied khayal vocal music with Warren Senders. He is currently deepening his learning of the instrumental music style with sarod player Anirban Dasgupta of the Shahjahanpur Gharana. Jarjoura lives in the Boston area and teaches high school math and science.
