Contemporary fashion designer and visual artist Andrew Gn (b. 1966, Singapore) is renowned for his richly ornamented textiles, exquisite hand embroideries and surprising and vibrant palettes. Referencing his own heritage for inspiration, he established himself as a pillar in global fashion from the late 1990s to today. After studying fashion at Central Saint Martins in London, Parsons School of Design in New York and Domus Academy in Milan, Gn worked as an assistant to designer Emanuel Ungaro. In 1995, he founded his own firm, and with the support of his longtime French business partner and husband, Erick Hörlin du Houx (who joined the house in 1998), the House of Andrew Gn remained prosperous for 28 years and remained one of the only fashion houses in Paris to retain financial independence and experience success on its own terms. In December 2023, Andrew Gn closed his fashion house and turned his talent to other endeavors.
