Know before you go
Location: Create Space Studios
Included with admission
Recommended for ages 10+
Make a one-of-a-kind paper lampshade or lantern using simple materials and imaginative design based on Isamu Noguchi’s iconic Akari paper light sculptures on view in Isamu Noguchi: "I am not a designer". Experiment with shape, pattern and light while exploring how Noguchi blended traditional craftsmanship with a modern artistic vision.
Regular Drop-in Art Making is held in person Friday–Sunday and holiday Mondays in our Create Space studios. Friday art making is recommended for ages 10 and up, while weekend and holiday activities are suitable for ages 4 and up. Activities are created and led by PEM art educators.
