      Kate McCowan

      Curatorial Fellow in PEM’s Native American Fellowship program, Summer 2025

      Kate McCowan (she/her) is a 2025 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned an M.A. in Art History. She completed her B.A. at Muhlenberg College in 2022 with a double major in Dance and Art History. Kate was a 2024 summer intern at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (in partnership with the Sealaska Heritage Institute), and was a 2025 summer Native American Fellow in the curatorial department at PEM. Kate is a Tigua citizen of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, and is committed to platforming Indigenous knowledge through curatorial work.
