Donate Online
Support the PEM Fund at an amount of your choice.
These unrestricted, tax-deductible contributions provide a stable source of income to help pay for the museum's basic needs, from buying art supplies to preparing for new exhibitions.
Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)
Your DAF may be used to renew your annual membership, make a flexible gift or support a special project.
You can also name PEM as a final beneficiary, ensuring that the remaining balance of your DAF supports access to the arts in perpetuity.
Please note: Because you receive an immediate tax deduction when you transfer funds to your DAF, your gift to PEM must be 100% tax deductible. If you choose to use your DAF to join or renew at the EIMA level and wish to utilize benefits, you are asked to make a separate gift from a personal account for the fair market value of any taxable benefits.
Legacy Giving
Sustain the Peabody Essex Museum for future generations by planning for a special gift. There are a number of ways to make a planned gift that may financially benefit you and the museum.
We invite individuals who support the museum through a legacy gift, such as a bequest or life income gift, to join the Nathaniel Bowditch Society.

Gifts of Securities, Wires or ACH Transfers:
Gifts of securities, stocks or bonds can provide you with valuable tax benefits while supporting the Peabody Essex Museum with a charitable donation. Shares can be transferred electronically by notifying your broker that you wish to make a gift of securities to the Peabody Essex Museum. Your broker may need written authorization from you, including the name of stock and the number of shares, before the transfer can be made.
The Peabody Essex Museum can accept domestic and international wires and ACH transfers.
Please reach out to the Development Office via devops@pem.org to request stock or wire transfer instructions.
Notifying PEM of an impending transfer helps avoid delays in receipt and recording of your gift.
