      Projection drawings

During these cold winter months, it can be hard to get outside. If you’re stuck inside, try this project to get your creative juices flowing. Follow these steps to create your own wall-projection drawings, which allows for endless hours of fun on a dreary dark day!

      Supplies
      • Recycled paper or non-clear plastic cup
      • Clear packing tape
      • Markers (Sharpies or permanent markers will work best)
      • Scissors
      • Flashlight

      Instructions

Step 1: Use scissors to cut a hole in the bottom of your recycled cup.

Step 2: Tape over the top of your cup with clear packing tape.
      Tip
: Try to keep the tape as flat and bubble-free as possible.

Step 3: Use colored markers to create a drawing on the clear packing tape.

Step 4: Now it’s time to project your finished drawing! Find a blank wall to project onto. Turn off the lights and shine the flashlight through the hole in the bottom of the cup to see your drawing project onto the wall in front of you. You can change the size of your image by moving closer to or farther away from the wall.
      Tip
: This is a great project for creating a series of drawings that tell a story in pictures.
