GenPEM Netflix virtual viewing party of Self Made and Q&A with Producer and Director DeMane Davis

DeMane Davis is a television director and producer whose most recent work is Self Made: Inspired by The Life of Madam C.J. Walker, which premiered March 20 on Netflix. The four-part series stars Octavia Spencer, Blair Underwood and Tiffany Haddish. Davis directed the last two episodes. Her television directing career began when Ava DuVernay (When They See Us; 13th) invited Davis to direct on her groundbreaking series Queen Sugar (OWN). Since then, she has directed on The Red Line (CBS); How To Get Away with Murder; Station 19; For The People (ABC); and You (Netflix).

We made popcorn, ordered takeout, mixed a drink and joined GenPEM to watch the final episode of Self Made. We hope you watched the first three episodes on your own.
