LEGO Recreations of PEM's Historic Houses

The PEM Connect LEGO display is open 11 am–5 pm, Thursday–Monday.
Explore detailed LEGO® recreations of historic houses in PEM’s collection, created by artist and LEGO builder Jeff Chapman (also known as Spooky Brixx on Youtube). Inspired by Salem’s rich architectural heritage, Chapman painstakingly recreates these centuries-old landmarks brick by brick — capturing everything from distinctive rooflines and windows to gardens, trees and other playful details.
The display features miniature versions of five PEM properties: the Ropes Mansion, John Ward House, Samuel Pickman House, Daniel Bray House and First Quaker Meeting House.
See the models up close in the PEM Connect space at 135 Essex Street, located right next to the museum’s main entrance.
Then, discover the real buildings that inspired them. PEM’s seasonal walking tours offer a rare opportunity to explore Salem history — including exclusive access inside select historic houses from the museum’s collection.
