Join artist Morgan Dyer, who will take us to the site of her inspiration at the edge of the sea at Bearskin Neck in Rockport, MA. We will tap into the power of the ocean waves and paint with plant-based pigments on canvas draped over textured rock.

Studio Saturdays is a series of adult art making classes designed to inspire creativity and connection through multimedia arts explorations. Each class includes an arts activity that will inspire collaboration, curiosity, and creativity, culminating in a completed individual artwork and communal sharing.

      About our collaborators

      Morgan Dyer

Morgan Dyer is an environmental artist in Rockport, MA. Her front gallery doubles as a shop filled with originals, prints, handmade goods and art supplies. Her studio is down the breezeway in the back and faces the water. Her process is built on layering, pouring pools of paint onto the canvas again and again until large ribbons of color and texture start to emerge and intertwine. She is drawn to how pigment moves when you let it: it puddles, it shifts like a tide, it settles into forms that feel geological. The paintings become dense, energetic fields where you can trace the history of every pour.
