Salem Public School Students’ Creative Expressions of Identity

Join PEM for an engaging multiday pop-up exhibition highlighting the incredible talents of Salem students in grades K-12. This annual celebration of student creativity is an opportunity for students to showcase drawings, paintings, photography, poetry, dance, video art and more. Works will be on display Thursday–Monday during regular museum hours. On Saturday, there will be a private reception for students and their families.

“SEE ME” is an initiative through the Salem Public Schools Office of Public Relations that captures the district’s core values of belonging, equity and opportunity through the expression of student voices. This exhibition shares how the young people of Salem see their history and how their cultures have shaped them. It explores how they see themselves walking through the world in the present and how they can influence the future.

      Saturday, June 1
      10:30 am–1:30 pm

Students’ families and friends are invited to a private reception in East India Marine Hall for the Student Voice Project. In partnership with The Equity Imperative, students from grades 4–12 will present on the research-based activism projects they pursued in fields they found personally meaningful.
