Celebrating Local Legends: Film Screening, Panel and Presentation
      2–4:30 pm | Morse Auditorium

This Pride, we are focusing on uplifting community voices. Join us in kicking off PEM Pride 2024 with a special screening of Peabody TV’s documentary The Drag Queens, Kings, and Things of Salem, featuring the Hometown Queeros collective. The screening will be followed by a panel conversation about drag arts, queer communities and gender euphoria and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the documentary. Our panel guests include filmmaker Randyll Collum and the Hometown Queeros: Miz Diamond Wigfall, Maxine Harrison, Buster Pants, Stardust Cropper, Miss Michael, Dick Kayin and Peewee Vermin.

After the Q&A, cheer and snap your fans for a runway walk by young people from the North Shore community, who have been guided on a gender euphoric workshop journey facilitated by Maxine Harrison and Buster Pants in partnership with PEM and NAGLY.

As the Associate Director of Education at Peabody TV, a community access station located on 81 Main St in Peabody, she plays a pivotal role in empowering individuals to explore the world of media and filmmaking. Stardust Cropper

Stardust Cropper (he/they) is a drag king who has been studying and doing makeup for over 15 years: “On stage, I lip-sync and vogue. I was very fortunate to be trained by some local legends in the art form. With my drag, I bring black art to the forefront. I like to parody the male archetype from a nonbinary AMAB perspective. Drag is so fulfilling to me as I can put all my artistic interests into it. My drag face is very inspired by my anime. I never thought that there was a place for me in the art form but with support from my local community, I carved out a space. Never doubt yourself!”
