Drop-In Art Activity
Netsuke-Inspired Collages

Know before you go
In-person event
Location: Create Space Studios
Included with admission
A netsuke is a small figurine carved from stone, wood or bone. Often depicting animals and characters from folklore, these small ornaments were used to tie personal belongings onto clothing in 17th-century Japan. Join us to examine the tiniest sculptures in PEM’s collection, then make a collage inspired by netsuke!
Regular Drop-in Art Making is held in person Friday–Monday in our Create Space studios. Friday art making is recommended for ages 10 and up, while Saturday–Monday activities are suitable for ages 4 and up. Activities are created and led by PEM’s Education team.
