      All East India Marine Associate (EIMA) members are invited to participate in exclusive programs designed to bring them closer to the heart of the museum, including its collections and staff. Director’s Circle members and above may elect to join a Visiting Committee, which focuses on a specific collection area, offering opportunities with curators and other individuals with similar interests, as well as specialized programs and travel experiences.

      Your EIMA membership starts the day you make your contribution and is active for 12 months.

      EIMA gifts are partly tax-deductible. Specific tax deductibility information for your gift will be stated on your EIMA acknowledgement letter.

      As a member of the East India Marine Associates, you receive North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) and Council of American Maritime Museums (CAMM) reciprocal benefits. Additional information, along with a list of participating institutions, can be found on their websites.

      EIMA members receive many exciting opportunities at PEM, including invitations to celebrate special exhibitions before they are open to the public, curator-led tours of major exhibitions and installations and so much more!

      EIMA members at the Director’s Circle and above levels are invited to join one or more of PEM’s unique Visiting Committees. Each Committee is made up of members who share an interest in learning more about PEM and its collections, exhibitions and programs. Visiting Committees meet with curators, PEM staff and special guests throughout the year to discuss the direction of the department, the collection and museum trends. Members serve as important advisors and ambassadors for the museum and its curators and are encouraged to be partners in the growth of this community of dedicated individuals.
