WONDER, the PEM Gala, Auction & Dance Party

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Join us for WONDER, the PEM Gala, Auction & Dance Party as we celebrate art, culture, and creativity. We are pleased to announce our Gala Honorees Gail & Ernst von Metzsch— inspiring leaders in the PEM community who embody our museum's mission of presenting art and experiences that transform perspectives and enrich the spirit.

This year's Gala is inspired by the sense of wonder, discovery and learning that art, creative expression and cultural curiosity invoke in our lives and in our community. The Gala will include multisensory delights including cocktails, a seated dinner and dance party.

Proceeds from WONDER, the PEM Gala, Auction & Dance Party, provide necessary support for the museum's education, outreach, and public programs. Your support is appreciated.

Auctioneer: Robbie Gordy

Robbie Gordy is an Associate Vice President at Christie’s New York, where as Senior Features Editor he works on the development and presentation of the auction house’s most prestigious and high-profile consignments.

Robbie’s recent work has included the notable fine art collections of gallerists Ileana Sonnabend and Nina Castelli Sundell; groundbreaking Asian art dealer Robert Hatfield Ellsworth; financier and diplomat John C. Whitehead; businessman and philanthropist Edgar M. Bronfman; and the Clark Family Treasures sale of works from Huguette Clark and her father, the nineteenth century industrialist W.A. Clark.

A Fulbright Scholar and graduate of London’s Courtauld Institute of Art, Robbie studied nineteenth-century European painting and sculpture, as well as international Modern and Contemporary art, before joining Christie’s London saleroom. As a Charity Auctioneer, he works with philanthropic, civic, and cultural organizations in New York and across the United States. In 2015 alone, Robbie raised some $5 million for charitable causes.
