Create Night - Write Your Eulogy, A Creative Workshop for Embracing Life!
Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 7-8:15 pm
Members $10; Nonmembers $20
Grab a drink, invite a friend and join guest artist Peyton Pugmire as we behold the colors of our own soul by exploring and writing our own tribute, inspired by our new exhibition Zachari Logan: Remembrance. Through a blend of writing, sharing and drawing, we can begin to envision all that we wish to be and accomplish while we're still on earth. Participants will receive a kit including the tools necessary to complete the project in advance. Please note: This workshop runtime is 75 minutes.
In this creative workshop, we will explore through poetry and drawing our ideas around death and its relationship to living a fully expressed life. Then, using all the resources of our imagination, we will write our own eulogy (a remembrance speech) honoring and describing our life’s most honorable qualities and accomplishments. By imagining the end of our lives we can take stock of where we’ve been, where we’re going and who we want to become. Time will be allowed at the end for safe and open sharing.
I was born to be a creative spirit — to live intuitively and authentically — and I love inspiring others to do the same. Since coming out of the closet as a gay man in 1998, I’ve been addicted to coming out, in every way life can offer. After all, I believe we are here to express ourselves fully and pursue our dreams. I have been helping others do just that for over 20 years through teaching, guiding and art making. My work and studies in teaching, psychic connection, regression hypnotherapy, drama therapy, spirituality, the performing arts, and painting have empowered me to serve my clients in ways that are creative, healing, and deeply profound.
