Nancy Hammer, Director of Employee Experience
Hammer has extensive experience in human resources, as well as a long background in
general administration. She has led the Employee Experience Department at the Peabody Essex Museum since 2005. Prior to that, she was a Director at Insight Performance Improvement, a consulting firm providing HR management services to nonprofit and for-profit organizations on an outsourced basis. In this role, she saw the inside of numerous institutions and corporations, assisting them in virtually every area of human resource management. Before working as a consultant, Hammer was Director of Administration for Intelligent Automation Systems, a Cambridge-based engineering consulting firm, and a Loan Officer and Branch Manager at the Cambridge Trust Company. She has also been a Trustee of the Atrium School in Watertown serving as vice chair, the Watertown Children’s Theater as a member of the executive committee, and a member of the HR Committee for the Arsenal Center for the Arts. Hammer currently serves on the Board of Overseers for the Handel and Haydn Society and is a member of the personnel and development committees.
