The Peabody Essex Museum is an authorized professional development point provider. We offer a wide range of educational services and programs, including special seminars on a host of relevant subjects from the China trade to the Salem witchcraft trials. We also offer a variety of popular field trips.
Our school programs are developed by curriculum specialists. The programs are presented by trained museum professionals. They employ hands-on, inquiry-oriented multicultural and multi-disciplinary methods that are tailored to your specific grade level. For most programs, we provide materials for you to use in preparing for the visit and for follow-up afterward in your own classroom.

Educational Collaboration
We invite you to learn more about two other organizations equally committed to education: The Hilton/Perkins Program in China at Perkins School for the Blind is working with the Chinese Ministry of Education and the China National Institute for Educational Research to develop services for children who are blind throughout China and the Asian American Diabetes Initiative at the Joslin Diabetes Center is enhancing the quality of life for Asian Americans living with diabetes.²
