Bring your family to experience, explore, and create!

The Art & Nature Center is an interactive exhibition space where families and other visitors can delve into ideas that connect art and nature. Changing exhibitions and an exploration zone celebrate this region’s unique natural heritage, while referencing the global influences nature has had on culture and art.

Origami Now!Origami Now!
June 16, 2007 – June 8, 2008
This exciting hands-on exhibition presents stunning masterworks of folded paper and explores the many connections between origami art, science, math, and design.

  • Art by contemporary artists, as well as objects from PEM’s international collections
  • Display of over 75 local bird species and accompanying DVD station
  • Activity boxes, games, puzzles, and related books for all ages

  • Family programs, such as artist demonstrations, workshops, live animal programs, storytelling, drop-in activities, art making, and special vacation programming
