be reduced while construction is completed on the new museum.

Following
the closing of Bohnchang Koo: Masterworks of Contemporary
Korean Photography on February 18, 2003, the Museum will
be temporarily closed in order to complete the most spectacular
transformation in our history. Although the Museum will close
its main building on February 18th, we will continue to offer
concerts, films, lectures, special house tours, and many other
public programs during the sixteen-week period when the galleries
are closed.
The new Peabody Essex Museum will open to the public in June
