Art Adventurers | 8-11 years old

Are you a budding comic artist? Is performance art your thing? Do you just love making art? Then Art Adventurers is for you! Learn about the delicate art of Fabergè egg design and create your own intricate patterns. Create your own soundsuit and participate in a performance based on the work of Nick Cave (soundsuitshop.com). We’ll visit PEM’s galleries to see In Conversation: Modern African American Art and the luxurious Fabergé exhibition. Guest artists include returning illustrator Sarah Winifred Searle (swinsea.com).

Art Majors | 12-15 years old
Session I: August 5-9, 2013

Back by popular demand, Art Majors is expanding to two sessions! The program again offers an in-depth art studio experience for the dedicated artist. Students will build an art portfolio and practice creative writing throughout sessions. Session I focuses on figure drawing, architecture and Adobe Photoshop. Session II includes printmaking, clay work and graphic novel illustration. Sign up for both weeks! We’ll visit PEM’s galleries to see In Conversation: Modern African American Art, Golden Light and the luxurious Fabergè exhibition. Guest artists include returners Nathaniel Furlong (studiofiftysix.com) and illustrator Sarah Winifred Searle (swinsea.com).
