This intensely thought-provoking and beautiful exhibition highlights 380 years of American embroidery art from the museum’s collection. The show includes embroidery art from the seventeenth century to the present, biographical information on many of the artists, descriptions of the artistic and cultural settings in which the artists worked, and a collection of embroidery tools – the paintbrushes of embroidery.
