Lanterns light the night in a Chinese celebration of romance!
Enjoy a theatrical performance excerpts from "Four Letters," a love story inspired by Yin Yu Tang: A Chinese House, adapted for the stage by Nancy Berliner, former curator of Chinese art at PEM. Tickets for the four performances in the house will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. A final performance will be held in the museum's Atrium near the end of the evening.
Also, hear live music from Barrence Whitfield Plus 4, The Dejas and Will Dailey, who each present unique versions of Beck's song Old Shanghai, along with their own material. Create a handmade lantern, taste samples from China Blossom in Andover and celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Yin Yu Tang at PEM. Cash bar. Café open. Snacks available for purchase. The entire museum will be open.
