Amazing and surprising things happen at the intersection of Surrealism and fashion. Look at images of fantastic creations and then make a wild, wacky or creepy hat to wear around the  museum.

Surreal Collage | 10:30 am–3 pm | Atrium

Free your mind from logical thought and create an amazing artwork inspired by two unrelated objects.

 

Drop-in Art Activity

Randomized Poetry | 10:30 am–4 pm | Atrium

Arrange random words and phrases into a poem of your own or add to an existing group poem. Adjust the words to create a flowing poem, even if it is unintelligible.

Meet Big Nazo, the international and intergalactic creature troupe from Providence, R.I., that united to create bizarre and hilarious larger-than-life characters and spectacles.

Create your own landscape. Then have it projected on the wall and step into your creation!

There's a Nightmare in My Closet | Noon

For families with children ages 4 and up

In Mercer Mayer's book there is a big, scary nightmare living in a boy's bedroom closet. Find out what happens when the boy decides to confront the unwanted guest.
