10th Annual ECHO Performing Arts Festival

Celebrate - Song, Dance & Story!

takes you on a journey down life's paths, from childhood to love and marriage and beyond. Traditional and innovative stories, songs and dances illustrate challenges and triumphs and explore Native community values including respect for ancestral ways or the dangers of jealousy and vanity. Now in its 10th year, the Performing Arts Festival features Native and immigrant cultural performing artists from the ECHO (Education through Cultural and Historical Organizations) partner regions of Alaska, Hawai'i, Mississippi and Massachusetts. This performance presents cultural traditions in an engaging, lively manner for all ages.

Performers are:

  • Stephen Blanchett (Yup'ik);
  • Ani Lokomaika'i Lipscomb;
  • Allison Akootchook Warden (Inupiat);
  • Curtis "Buck" Willis (Mississippi Choctaw);
  • José Manuel (Zé Manel) Vinagre;
  • Annawon Weeden (Mashpee Wampanoag).
