"From the Top" LIVE Radio Recording — SOLD OUT

NPR's From the Top records its weekly classical music program live at PEM today. Featuring performances by Matthew Aucoin, the museum's composer in residence, and four high-caliber student musicians. Plus interviews, sketches and games that reveal the heart and soul behind these extraordinary young musicians. Hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O'Riley, From the Top celebrates the amazing performances and captivating stories of America's best pre-college classical musicians.

Now in its 12th year on air, From the Top has featured prominent guest artists including Yo Yo Ma, Hilary Hahn, Béla Fleck, Sir James Galway, Jake Shimabukuro, Michael Feinstein and more. Alumni of From the Top are now popping up in the country's top orchestras and emerging with solo careers. From the Top also encourages its young performers to share their music with new audiences and give back to their communities.
